afro Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Layzie Bone recently revealed details about an anthem the group recorded for the Negro League Baseball Museum.

The song, titled "League of Our Own," is a tribute to the legacy of African-American’s in baseball and celebrates the sports diversity, since Jackie Robinson officially broke the game’s color barrier in 1947.

"I felt honored to be a part of the Negro League compilation, because it represents originality, it represents trendsetting and taking your destiny into your own hands," Layzie Bone told AllHipHop.com. "[The song represents] diversity and having a dream like Martin Luther King to one day change the world."

"League of Our Own" was produced by Thin C. for Make Hot Entertainment.

The song features Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone and Big Sloan of the group’s extended Mo Thug’s rap collective.

"It really highlights the opposition they faced for being different, the hunger to play the game, the heart and the savvy it took to pursue there dreams. It reminds me of what Russell Simmons, Eazy-E, & J. Prince and others did for Hip-Hop, the companies being black owned, allowing young playas like myself to build milestones for the generations after us." afro
